Any amount of commissions or inquires conducted in Sri Lanka into the death of Ven Soma Thero will be pointless.What is essential is for a team comprising of a eminent cardiologist, forensic pathologist and a couple of C.I.D officers to be sent to Russia to conduct a detailed investigation. Was the monk lured to Russia with a bogus invitation? Why did a Christian priest of Sri Lankan origin, from a dubious institution ,offer a doctorate to someone who had been so active in the crusade against unethical conversions?What was this man's motive?
The medical team will have to conduct a detailed examination of the medical records, the train of events that led to the monk's demise.Who were the people responsible for looking after the monk and the quality of their care before admission to hospital and after being sent to a sanatorium for rehabilitation.It is the job of the medical team to ascertain whether the changeover to insulin was neccassary in a foreign country and who instructed the change, specially because injecting insulin is an easy way to cause death.Who administered the insulin, what was the standard of care and wasthe blood insulin level and blood glucose level checked when the thero fell ill a second time? It is well known that unless severly warranted,diabetic therapy would normally be changed only by the physician who regularly monitors the diabetes.
This is the only way to get to the bottom of the mysterious death of Ven. Soma Thero.We request the President to act immediately.

First thank you for publishing useful information in regards to Ven Soma\'s tragic death. This is a another lesson we learnt as a nation who doesn\'t take any precautions before any disaster. I noticed the email which was written by Rev Sha Jaya, on your website and he has mentioned two affiliated contacts in US high ranks. Ex, \" "Now I am working with Dr. Bartnhart ( USA) President\'s Security Officer - US Vice President\'s Businee member, Dr. Richard Hoyer ( President of the Global Capital) and Bp. Dr.Chief Eagle .\" It is interesting for the Investigative team to find out the credibility of these people from a US embassy or US state department. We Did a search on these names and findings were quite amazing, but don\'t know whether we got the correct information on the web. If you have contacts with the Investigation group, please ask them to verify these people\'s credibility from the US Emabassy or the US state department.

(2) From which university he earned those degrees ? Rev. Prof. Sh P. Jaya, D.D, Ph.D., Ed.D., J. D., D.Sc., - Theologian (USA) - Professor in Satellite Television Systems - Academician (Russia) - Astronaut - Cosmonautics Federation of Russia. Walter has made a number of written requests from Rev Jaya to clarify this, but, dso fas he has failed to do so. Questions abour the spelling mistakes in "of course" Vs "of cause" (3) Being the person who hosted Ven Soma Thero to Russia, has he made a written report what happened from Day-1 toi any one ? If not why ? Has any authorities inquiring this case requested any report or interrogated him so far ? If not why ? (4) Has Police probed into the email and other correspondances between Ven Soma Thero and Rev Jaya so far to undertand the history of communications ? If not why ? It is understood that on December 4 the ITU had awarded the degree to the Venerable Thero with a simple ceremony at the sanatorium premises itself. If that is the case, how the others also awarded ithe degrees there (see group photo of degree recipoients) Who is the other Sri Lankan in the staff of IUFS (see attached photo). Why the webpage of IUFS is shut-down since 26 Dec 2003 ??? |

The most imortant information could br found in hid Computer. He may have exchanged many more emails with rev Jaya in this regard. He may have not communicate all via the telephone, surely there must be many emailas. That's why I advised the Day-1 to take into custody the Computer he and Sisira Kumara (Jana Vijaya Editor) was using. The emails in these two computers should unvail the story.

(Strange; Unable to access this website since this morning).
Definetely, he seems NOT to be Rev Jaya, perhaps another person (Sri Lankan) attached to this so-called University. Rev Jaya's photo is attached for comparision. Can you identify the person in the photo attached.

Walter Jayawardhana from USA This Sunday Leader story has been written completely based on Ambassador U.B.Wijekkon's report who did not have necessary data to write that report. Checking and double checking atleast to give a balnce of view does not seem to be the policy of this pro-political newspaper from the begining of this story. First of all , the ambassador does not know the name of the institution Jayas runs in St. Petersburg. He picks up the name , I mentioned in my web articles to the Asian Tribune etc. , the International Theological University , actually a semnary that conferred a Juris Doctor degree to Jayas in Pasadena California as the name of Jayas's school in St. Petersburg . This internatinal University of Theology is an evangelical school that gives all its tution to students by email and its web site. It is also connected to Jayas on a personal level This juris doctor should be completed within one to three years and the fee for one year is US $ 20,000 . Actually Jayas's school is International University of Fundamental Studies (IUFS) whose website is now suspended due to to some unknow reason . Secondly, U.B. Wijekoon who lacked any knowledge of medicine came to the conclusion that the Late Thero died of a heart attack even before the doctors in Sri Lanka cut open his body in an autopsy. These two reasons are strong enough for anybody to conclude that Wijekoon's letter was not a well researched one and and a hash of material put together in a hurry. No wonder the pro-Ranil Sunday leader was clinging on to the letter as conclusive proof in finding out out the cause of the late Thero's death .You may publish my letter if you wish. |

Thero was not in those photoes, but they had created purposely by using
powerful photo editing software (such as Photoshop, Maya etc.) But the
creator didn't do it very successfully as there are lots of mistakes has
been done. The attachment I got from "In the name of Soma Thero"
also proving that. Other than what explains in that presentation I have
found the following details. So you also can clarify through those
photoes. Another one says IMPORTANT *** Mysterious Leg - See the Leg of the lady standing in the left-hand-side of the photo - One with a shoe and the other leg without a shoe
Note: I tried to enlarge and have a look, she looks unbalanced and her skirt looks odd but I am not a very keen observer as such (Lakshman) so I refrain from comment (Lakshman) P.S. Later I enlarged and clarified the photo, but the skirt still looks odd, apart from that, to be fair I can not comment

i was reading all about the upheaval in sri lanka...and i hope things work themselves out...i work in the medical field and the sentence about insulin making the blood thick is wrong...and over dose of insulin will cause seizures in the brain which will cause and imbalance in the blood and chemistry which can cause a heart attack....now if the there was no insulin the blood would thicken up because the glucose or blood sugar would be critically high....but again chemistry wise blood clots would not really form....a blood clot forms because of the red blood cells and a clotting factor....nothing really to do with insulin....and if he was in hyperglycemia (which is high blood sugar this is called DKA or diabetic ketoacidosis) he would be incoherent or in a coma, and would have kidney dysfunction which causes the chemistry that makes the heart work would malfunction and would cause a heart problem...(the kidneys would work overtime to dump the glucose so the body would became dehydrated causing the imbalance) i hope that made sense..... ... because he had a history of heart problem (according to reports) he should have been on and aspirin a day and a blood thinner...to prevent clots....but my question is aren't monks vegetarian? so technically he should not have had that problem....his heart problem could have been congenital which means he was born with it or it ran in his family.... after reading this it bothered me so i asked the emergency room doctors i work with and they confirmed my thoughts.....i work as an emergency medical tech in the ER...so after reading about this i think the right measures were not taken but the again it didn't sound like anyone was actually there to see what really happened...it could be that they just didn't give the right treatment....sorry i mean no disrespect to Venerable Soma and you but he should have gone to a place were he could have gotten better medical service..... i hope you do find out what really happened.....i hope i was not to confusing in my writing....i just came off a 14 hour shift but had to write because i bothered me... if you have questions or need me to clarify please write.... thanks hollee |

HAVE YOU BEEN A GOOD
SAMARITAN TO VEN SOMA THERO
To Your qualifications are very striking. I have been following various accounts given on Ven Soma Theros death and even read some of your mails reproduced in various other web sites. This welcome message shows a marked difference between the standard of English compared to what has been presented to us. I am my self a qualified person but I find it a little difficult to comprehend your own description as "Sir Prof". What has been conveyed to us is that you are a Reverend (commonly known as a Padunnanse or Pastor). We hear various accounts of you as a village boy of Sri-Lanka who did not even come back for your fathers funeral. If you were a reverend, as others hold you to be, I do not see any reason, for you to conceal that fact, as this would have been a glamorous qualification. It would have enhanced your credibility with a religious back ground. There are various reports regarding the death of Ven Soma Thero and TV programmes in Sri-Lanka shows that Soma Thero always addressed you in the overseas calls as Mr. Jayas which suggests that the thero was innocently ignorant of the fact that you are a Christian missionary. My attention has also been drawn to the illusionary photographs which shows that Soma Hsmuduruwo had three hands upon his arrival in Russia, Some reports say that Soma Hamuduruwo was operated in Russia, while others say that he passed away without being operated. If I have understood our local doctors correctly, there appears to have been attempts to do surgery. I have known Soma Hamuduruwo to a reasonable degree but I can vouch that he was never suffering from a heart ailment. I must make it clear to you that it is an inescapable fact that the Thero went to Russia on your personal invitation but it is not clear what the links were. It would not be unfair to suggest that the followers of Soma Thero did expect you to play the role of a GUARDIAN ANGEL but there is no evidence to suggest that you have lived up to the expectations of a reasonable person, leave aside a Christian Missionary. It is also a great puzzle, to many, what reasons contributed towards helping Soma Hamuduruwo. It is strange, that in the back ground of these mysterious circumstances, why you did not make a detailed report of the events commencing from his exit from Sri-Lanka to his death in Russia. You have by your acts of negligence created a situation for any civilized person to view you with suspicion and bias which has given signals to this country the emergence of religious unrest in a country which been war torn for years. It is also my concerted view that you have failed to live up to the role of a good Samaritan a role that a Christian should be quite familiar. You have, by your conduct, brought more than an element of suspicion on the innocent catholics who have always condemned conversions of the type the Christian missionaries are reputed for. You have by your conduct denied the many Christians of going for Christmas eve mid night mass. In short you have discredited Jesus, Christianity and the crucifix. I am releasing this open letter to
the media and in all probability they might publish it. My dear
professor please issue a lucid, concise report with complete clarity
detailing the events in the chronological order. If
